We are seeking a part-time Psychiatric APRN with strong competency in outpatient psychiatry and a dedicated interest in addiction medicine, trauma informed care, and integrated behavioral health. We welcome both experienced practitioners and motivated new graduates who bring enthusiasm and a desire to grow within a collaborative clinical setting. The clinician will conduct psychiatric evaluations, provide ongoing medication management, participate in interdisciplinary case conferences, and contribute to the development of our trauma track. The role includes close collaboration with primary care and substance use programs. Location: New London Outpatient Clinic and Lebanon Pines Residential Program; On-site Only Essential Duties and Responsibilities include: Assist Clinic staff in coordinating activities of provider and nursing staff relative to medications and the provision of medical and treatment support services. Maintain responsibility for safe and effective patient care using evidence-based interventions and keeping current with new and proven treatment strategies. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management Support clients receiving Medication Assisted Treatment including buprenorphine and, once eligible and trained, methadone Provide brief therapeutic interventions using short term models Participate in weekly clinical case conferences and interdisciplinary meetings Engage actively in clinical supervision and professional development Assist in the development and implementation of the integrated trauma track including work with complex PTSD Collaborate with primary care as internal medical services expand Provide consultation to IOP as needed Ensure documentation meets all regulatory and quality standards Collaborate with psychiatrist as needed to develop the most appropriate and effective psychotropic medication regimen according to the patient's psychiatric history and active symptoms. Assure that health education is provided with each client encounter when applicable. All employees are expected to participate in the orientation of new employees and the transfer of knowledge necessary for the performance of duties Qualifications • Connecticut APRN license; CPR Certification • DEA registration and controlled substance eligibility • Demonstrated competency in outpatient psychiatric care through experience or strong clinical rotations • Comfort evaluating and treating adults with a broad range of psychiatric presentations • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment • Commitment to ongoing growth in addiction medicine and trauma related care Preferred Qualifications • Psychiatric Mental Health certification Experience in addiction treatment Experience with Medication Assisted Treatment Familiarity with trauma informed practice or residential treatment settings Comfort with brief therapy models Experience with justice involved or high acuity populations SCADD is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
