How you will make an impact: As a Senior Product Solutions Engineer at Meissner, you will lead strategic and technically complex solution efforts in a high-velocity environment. You will own the end-to-end development and implementation of customized solutions, serving as a key technical partner to customers while coordinating internal teams and suppliers. Success in this role requires a nimble approach to managing ambiguity, driving alignment across cross-functional stakeholders, and delivering high-quality outcomes quickly while maintaining deep knowledge of platform capabilities and evolving customer needs. Lead complex solution design by integrating configurable systems, partner technologies, and custom-engineered elements. Mentor others in efficient design decision-making and ensure solutions align with customer needs, technical standards, and long-term platform evolution. Own execution of complex or high-priority customer projects, including internal team leadership and external stakeholder communication. Ensure alignment across functions, resolve challenges quickly, and consistently deliver a seamless customer experience. Lead SME engagement for Sales and high-value customer accounts, driving technical clarity, shaping solution strategy, and mentoring team members to ensure a high standard of technical support throughout the customer journey. Drive fast and focused feasibility assessments by integrating technical judgment, risk awareness, and efficient experimentation. Guide teams in applying fail-fast strategies, optimizing time-to-decision, and designing right-sized DOEs to evaluate solution approaches. Strategically manage supplier relationships within assigned solution areas, evaluating capabilities, influencing design alignment, and negotiating technical expectations. Drive continuity, scalability, and performance through long-term relationship stewardship. Direct cross-functional development and validation of comprehensive requirement sets, ensuring traceability from URS through FRS to DDS when required. Guide teams in managing requirement changes and ensuring that evolving needs are balanced with technical feasibility and business goals. Manage end-to-end proposal efforts for high-value opportunities by guiding internal teams through solution scoping, proposal development, and quotation creation. Collaborate directly with customers to refine requests and requirements. Ensure technical alignment, execution feasibility, and a unified customer-facing response. Oversee and refine communication strategies for complex customer engagements, ensuring SLA compliance, driving internal accountability, and mentoring others in effective stakeholder communication practices. Represent Meissner at industry trade shows, events, and speaking engagements. Provide technical presentations, both at Meissner and customer sites, to support sales efforts. Travel can be required for up to 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally. Strategically manage high-impact implementation efforts, directing FAT, SAT, and validation processes while ensuring resource readiness, technical alignment, and smooth execution. Support resolution of escalated implementation issues. Manage supplier execution for complex or high-impact customer implementations. Develop strong working relationships with suppliers, negotiate timelines and deliverables, and ensure supplier activities are fully integrated into the overall execution plan. Share accountability for the commercial success of assigned platforms and product lines. Influence platform strategy by identifying usage trends, championing customer needs, and guiding solution development that supports product adoption. This is an on-site role based out of our headquarters in Camarillo, CA. The skills and experience you'll need: Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Biomedical, Chemical, or Manufacturing. 7 or more years of working experience as an engineer or a related position. Experience as a Process Engineer, Validation Engineer, Project Engineer, Product Solution engineer, or related position in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is an advantage. Experience with pharmaceutical manufacturing and processing equipment such as mixing, freezing, filling, filtration, and filter integrity testing is required. Deep understanding of mechanical design principles, system integration, and manufacturability, with the ability to lead mechanical aspects of solution development. Experience in capital equipment selection, procurement, installation, and validation is required. Demonstrated expertise in managing complex, cross-functional projects under tight timelines, with the ability to anticipate risks, align stakeholders, and ensure timely execution. Strong analytical abilities: Define problems, collect data, interpret complex technical instructions, and draw valid conclusions. Attention to detail is critical for life-saving drug production processes. Proficiency with CAD software and MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project is preferred. Excellent communication skills for conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Curious and adaptable learner who can quickly assimilate new environments and technologies.
