Payroll Specialist

Shift and Time: 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday Entity: DFC Company This position will work out of the new headquarters for DFC Company right off I-94 and Sheyenne Street!Summary: Responsible for all phases of the payroll process for each payroll schedule (weekly and bi-weekly) for all branches/entities Certified payroll and EEO 13 calculation and reporting (as needed based on job requirements) Responsible for the timely submission of payroll-related tax deposits after each payroll run, including federal, and state withholding Processing of garnishments & child support payments Daily timecard approval and processing Set up and train new managers/supervisors on the approval process in the time keeping system Review and process vacation requests approved within the employee portal for compliance with appropriate vacation policy Review and process holiday pay in accordance with applicable company policies Monitor the HR-Payroll email box on a daily basis and respond timely to inquiries Assist the Payroll Manager with the distribution of annual W-2 Forms and 1095 Forms Complete quarterly Unemployment audit requests Responsible for the annual collection of updated NDW-R Tax forms and Federal W-4 Forms by the required February due date Other tasks as defined by the Payroll Manager Experience and Skills Required: Minimum three (3) years of directly related experience is required. BS degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Payroll or related field from an accredited college is a plus.
