Physical Therapist Outpatient

RELOCATION ASSISTANCE CONSIDERED UT Health East Texas has retained POTTER ASSOCIATES LLC to conduct a national search for an outpatient Physical Therapist. THE ORGANIZATION UT Health East Rehabilitation Center is a specialty hospital with 48 inpatient beds in Tyler, TX. In addition, there are 14 outpatient therapy clinics. The Outpatient PT position has two possible locations, the Rehab Clinic in Canton and the Rehab Clinic in Gun Barrel City. Approximately 58 miles from Dallas and 40 miles from Forney, TX. THE POSITION The Outpatient Physical Therapist will provide a full range of age-appropriate physical therapy services in a clinic setting including assessments, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions consistent with the position’s qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards. The position reports to the Administrative Director - Outpatient. DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Ability to embrace and promote the Mission and Values of UT Health East Texas Current professional licensure in the State of Texas - DPT preferred Generalist PT with minimum of 2 years’ experience in outpatient clinic setting - 3+ years preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills Active listening skills Good problem-solving skills Patient record documentation skills Strong time management skills Ability to think strategically and act tactically Ability to handle multiple tasks at the same time Ability to embrace the client relationship to guide decisions and actions Demonstrates good teamwork Sense of humor
