Senior Payroll Specialist LHH is working with a company in the construction industry who is trying to find a temporary Senior Payroll Specialist for their team. This role will be at least a six-month contract role, but it could go longer depending on the workload of the department. Your main tasks will be processing weekly payroll and responding to employee inquiries. You will be fully trained and will work with a team, but you must have high attention to detail as you will be processing union payroll that can be complex. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of payroll processing experience and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: Execute weekly payroll processing, including calculating wages, deductions, and bonuses. Ensure accurate and timely payment to employees. Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in pay rates, deductions, and personal information. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and tax laws. Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries related to pay, benefits, and deductions. Additional tasks as needed. Qualifications: At least five years of payroll processing experience. Knowledge of union payroll is preferred. Strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements. Excellent attention to detail and able to conduct yourself with a high level of discretion. Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment. Employment Details: Temporary for 6 months. Fully onsite for training, opportunity to have a hybrid schedule after training. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
