Patient Care Supervisor - (Pre-Op/PACU, Operating Room)

Patient Care Supervisor Children's Minnesota is one of the largest pediatric health systems in the United States and the only health system in Minnesota to provide care exclusively to children, from before birth through young adulthood. The Surgery department provides surgical services to treat multiple issues from dental/oral to urologic conditions on an inpatient and outpatient basis. They assist in providing a pre-surgery program for patients, their siblings, and their parents which includes a tour of the hospital and a discussion on how the family can prepare for the upcoming hospital visit. Position Summary: The Patient Care Supervisor (PCS) is considered a front-line department/unit leader. The PCS will directly lead clinical support staff and assist in the leadership of RN staff. License/Certification/Registration: Active RN on Minnesota Board of Nursing required Current BLS required Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing required Experience: 3 years of direct patient care experience within a related specialty. Informal leadership experience is preferred (charge RN, clinical educator, preceptor, etc.). Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Desired characteristics: dependable, responsible, strong conflict resolution skills, knowledge of assigned unit, ability to multi-task, self-starter with ability to problem solve independently. Availability for on-call and off-hours rotations/situations as decided by department/unit.
