Logistics & Material Control Lead Job Title: Logistics & Material Control Lead Reports to: General Manager SUMMARY: Responsible for performing the necessary activities needed to support production and warehouse operations. Responsible for the organization of the warehouse, inventory, movement of materials, pulling of parts, booking shipments and ensuring all documentations are correct and ready to meet shipment expectations. Must be able to perform and oversee all required competencies as stated in the below Required Competencies. Essential duties and responsibilities are described below. Other duties may be assigned. Attendance and punctuality are essential for this job REQUIRED COMPETENCIES (Learn these Essential duties and responsibilities): Have the ability to maintain training, follow company policies and procedures as part of the on-the-job training process. Pull parts using pick sheets. Identify system jobs pulled for production with the appropriate work orders associated for assembly. Ensure all parts pulled for parts orders are identified with a parts label. Prepare parts order for shipment. Photographs, labels, box and provide weights and dimensions. Label and identify shipping crate with Sales Order, Serial Number, Weights and Dimensions, warning labels and all required documentation necessary for shipment. Book shipments per instructions on the Sales Order or customer directives. Load and unload inbound and inbound shipments using forklift. Verify part count and descriptions match delivery ticket, purchase order and packing slip when signing material from vendor. Prepare shipments for outside operation including shrink wrap and/or strapping down material for safe travel. Stock and place received materials to correct bin locations. Organize and/ or relocate inventory to better utilize shelve spacing. Manage the use of the outside warehouse and storage containers to our benefit. Remove non-inventory from indoor warehouse to create additional space for inventory. Schedule and perform inventory cycle counts and maintain an accurate inventory. Planning and overseeing the organization of materials to be stored in containers. Identify and move material in and out of the inspections area. Oversee the crate activities when systems are being boxed up. Take photos of all orders; parts orders, system orders secured and labeled in shipping box. Store all photos online. Responsible for keeping packaging material on hand by notifying purchasing. Daily forklift check & verification. Maintain orderly warehouse and surrounding areas. Work necessary hours to meet work requirements, including overtime. Attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this job. Use ERP software as necessary for support of your job duties Wear the required PPE and follow safety guidelines. Follow all ISO procedures and guidance requirements OTHER DUTIES: As assigned SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Training warehouse support Delegate warehouse activities and work schedule Enforce company policies QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to learn to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or LIMITED EXPERIENCE: Must demonstrate warehouse knowhow and organizational skills during interview. Ability to work overtime as needed. DESIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma or GED Basic computer knowledge.
