Job Description

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for professional staff recruitment, benefits administration, HRIS management, and other HR initiatives. This role reports to the Director of Human Resources and works closely with firm leadership and staff. Title: Human Resources Generalist Location: Miami, FL Industry: Must have Law Firm Type: Full-time (100% On-Site) Note: (Law firm experience needed) Key Responsibilities Manage full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing (LinkedIn Recruiter and other strategies), screening, interviewing, onboarding, and new hire orientation Administer employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, retirement, HSA/FSA, commuter, etc.) Support payroll processing and serve as backup as needed Oversee leaves of absence (FMLA, STD/LTD, Military Leave) and Workers Compensation Administer performance evaluations and compensation/bonus processes Coordinate RFPs for brokers, HRIS/payroll, and other HR vendors Serve as HRIS Administrator and provide user support Maintain job descriptions and ensure compliance with employment laws Lead special projects and uphold company policies and professional standards Qualifications Bachelors degree and SHRM certification required (CEBS preferred) Minimum 5 years of HR experience in a professional services or law firm environment Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 10 pounds Prolonged computer use and regular communication Close and distance vision, including ability to adjust focus
