Supply Chain Planning Intern TransMedics is transforming organ transplantation through the Organ Care System (OCS), a platform that depends on precise coordination of materials, production schedules, and global logistics. Our Supply Chain Planning team ensures the right materials are available at the right time to support uninterrupted manufacturing and patient impact. The Supply Chain Planning Intern will support production and global supply planning activities by analyzing demand, supply, inventory, and capacity data. This role provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing planning, data analysis, and cross-functional coordination within a fast-paced medical device environment. This internship is ideal for students interested in supply chain, operations, data analytics, or manufacturing strategy. Key Responsibilities: Analyze demand, supply, inventory, and capacity data to help ensure material availability and on-time production Assist in maintaining production schedules Monitor work order and material status to identify potential shortages or constraints Support planning adjustments based on supply or capacity changes Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and maintain planning reports, dashboards, and KPIs Use Excel to analyze trends, identify risks, and support decision-making Assist with data validation and reporting accuracy Contribute to performance tracking across supply chain and operations Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality Control (QC) and Logistics teams Support issue resolution and planning execution Participate in process improvement initiatives Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders What You'll Learn: Fundamentals of production and global supply planning How data drives operational decisions in manufacturing environments Exposure to ERP and planning systems Inventory management and capacity planning concepts Cross-functional operations in a regulated industry Qualifications: Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related field College Sophomore, Junior, or Senior Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, basic formulas required; Power BI a plus) Ability to work with large data sets and identify trends or issues Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Clear written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams Preferred: Exposure to ERP or planning systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar) Coursework in supply chain planning, operations, or data analytics Interest in manufacturing, operations, or global supply chains Why This Internship Stands Out: You will work with real production data, support live planning decisions, and see how supply chain strategy directly impacts manufacturing performance and patient outcomes.
