Night Auditor (Hotel)

Night Auditor (Hotel) Carter Support Services is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to manage overnight front desk operations while performing daily financial and audit responsibilities. This role is critical to ensuring accurate financial reporting, smooth overnight guest services, and a secure hotel environment during late-night hours. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently overnight, has strong attention to detail, and provides excellent customer service to guests during non-traditional hours. Key Responsibilities Perform overnight front desk duties, including guest check-ins and check-outs Balance and reconcile daily hotel financial transactions and reports Prepare daily revenue reports and ensure accuracy of postings Process payments, billing adjustments, and night audit procedures Address guest requests, concerns, or issues during overnight hours Monitor hotel security, access, and safety procedures overnight Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams regarding room status Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and accounting standards Prepare reports for management and ensure smooth shift handover Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent 1+ year of hotel front desk, night audit, or accounting-related experience preferred Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy Basic accounting or bookkeeping knowledge Proficiency with computers and hotel property management systems (PMS) Ability to work independently and make sound decisions overnight Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a hotel Night Auditor Experience with cash handling, reconciliation, and financial reporting Familiarity with hotel security and safety procedures Core Competencies Accuracy and attention to detail Dependability and accountability Customer service mindset Problem-solving and sound judgment Time management and independence Why Join Carter Support Services Stable overnight role with consistent scheduling Supportive and professional work environment Competitive pay and benefits Opportunities for training and advancement
