Employee Relations Partner Alaska Airlines is seeking an Employee Relations Partner (Professional 2) or Senior Employee Relations Partner (Professional 3) to join the Employee Relations Partner team at Alaska Airlines. As an individual contributor, this role exercises considerable judgment in partnering with leadership to look into workplace concerns, while making recommendations and driving resolution in a variety of situations. Key Duties The Employee Relations Partner (Professional 2) is responsible for resolving employee relations issues, leading employee investigations, interpreting policies and procedures and providing general employee relation support to leaders. The Senior Employee Relations Partner (Professional 3) is a subject matter expert in investigations and employee relations issues, providing advisement and consultation to leaders working through investigations and employee relations matters on approach and best practices with practical implementation strategies. Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills Employee Relations Partner (Professional 2) Required 2 years of experience in Human Resources or related area. Bachelor's degree, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. Demonstrated ability in providing excellent judgement, influencing others, and in problem solving. Innovative, apolitical, resilient, fact-based, and a creative solutions-focused mindset, with ability to thrive in a rapidly-changing, collaborative environment and to manage conflict. Demonstrated ability to seek out and incorporate feedback from all levels of the organization. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other Microsoft products as well as common HR applications. Ability to travel occasionally as needed. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum age of 18. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification. In-depth experience in HR functional areas (generalist, employee relations, investigations, compliance etc.). Previous work experience with employees represented by a union. Experience with communications and change management. Senior Employee Relations Partner (Professional 3) Required 4 years of experience in Human Resources, leadership or a related area. Bachelor's degree, or an additional two years of training/experience in lieu of this degree. Demonstrated ability in providing excellent judgement, influencing stakeholders, and in problem solving. Innovative, apolitical, resilient, fact-based, and a creative solutions-focused mindset, with ability to thrive in a rapidly-changing, collaborative environment and to manage conflict. Demonstrated ability to seek out and incorporate feedback from all levels of the organization. Experience designing and managing complex processes, as well as managing projects. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other Microsoft products as well as common HR applications. Ability to travel occasionally as needed. High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum age of 18. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification. Knowledge of employee relations that cover a wide variety of employee needs and concerns, such as understanding local, state and federal laws, conflict and grievance resolution, policy application, and general human resources components. Previous work experience with employees represented by a union. In-depth experience in HR functional areas (generalist, employee relations etc.). Experience with communications and change management.
