Role Overview The Senior Project Manager is responsible for directing, overseeing, and coordinating project teams within a Construction Management and General Contracting environment. This role provides leadership across preconstruction, execution, financial performance, client relationships, and team development, while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. Project Types: Ground Up New Commercial K12 Healthcare Government Core Responsibilities Lead and support proposal development, including review of drawings, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and resource allocation Coordinate and oversee preconstruction services Provide leadership in strategic planning, business development, and client relationship management Monitor project performance, including cost control, forecasting, schedule adherence, and operational execution Support operations leadership with workload planning, project distribution, and management of Project Managers Ensure projects achieve profitability and performance objectives Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners Collaborate with marketing and business development teams to support pursuit efforts and promote organizational capabilities Participate in professional, civic, and industry organizations to support growth and relationship development Direct project teams by establishing work plans, assigning responsibilities, and resolving technical or execution challenges Provide schedule oversight (daily, weekly, monthly) to preserve contractual milestones Prepare and review project reports for internal leadership and external stakeholders Coordinate with regulatory and governmental agencies as required Partner with finance teams to ensure financial performance aligns with forecasts and budgets Execute work in accordance with established project management standards and procedures Mentor team members, provide ongoing feedback, support individual development plans, and foster a positive, high-performance team culture Required Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited four-year college or university (or equivalent experience) Minimum of 10 years of related construction project management experience Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform under pressure Strong organizational and time-management skills Commitment to ethical conduct, professionalism, and accountability Demonstrated leadership skills with experience coaching and developing team members Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline Experience with Viewpoint or similar construction ERP systems Additional Requirements Valid drivers license and ability to maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record Ability to travel as required by project needs Physical Requirements Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats Ability to sit or stand for extended periods (50%+ of time) Ability to work in an office environment using standard technology (computer, laptop, tablet) Ability to navigate office buildings and attend off-site meetings as needed Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions Why This Role This position offers a challenging and rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on projects, teams, and communities.
