Medical Receptionist - FT/PRN

Medical Receptionist - PRN Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care is looking for experienced Medical Receptionists to join our team in Decatur, AL. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for greeting patients, activating patient files and providing support to patients and medical staff. Key responsibilities include: welcoming all patients and visitors, answering multi-line phones, filing, faxing, scanning documentation, checking in and discharging patients, collecting insurance information, verifying patient demographics, processing payments, maintaining a neat and clean work environment, and adhering to all relevant health and safety procedures. Schedule: Full-time team members work a rotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekday shifts and every-other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis. Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, knowledge of basic computer software and the ability to learn electronic medical records, prior experience in a medical office setting preferred.
