Assistant Controller LHH is actively seeking an Assistant Controller for one of our top clients! This will be a 100% remote contract opportunity with our client. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Controller to support our accounting operations and financial reporting processes. This role will work closely with the Controller and finance leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and drive efficiency across accounting operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, hands-on experience with NetSuite, and the ability to manage month-end close, financial analysis, and process improvements in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Assist in managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Analyze financial results and identify variances, trends, and areas of improvement. Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies. Oversee day-to-day accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets. Review journal entries and reconciliations prepared by accounting staff. Support cash management and treasury activities. Ensure accurate revenue recognition and expense tracking. Utilize NetSuite ERP to manage accounting processes, reporting, and financial data. Maintain and improve system workflows, reporting structures, and accounting controls within NetSuite. Support system enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives. Assist in maintaining and strengthening internal controls and financial processes. Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor requests. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting, and operational efficiency. Partner with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Operations, HR, and IT. Support financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 58+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong experience with NetSuite ERP Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Pay Details: $45.00 to $50.00 per hour Search managed by: Kaitlynne Hope Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan.
