Logistics Customer Service Coordinator The Equipment Coordinator supports daily operational goals by managing the flow, placement, and availability of equipment across the network. This role performs routine but essential tasks that ensure customers receive the equipment they need on time. This is a contract to hire opportunity located near Naperville, IL. Responsibilities: Position equipment to meet customer demand and maintain balanced inventory across regions. Coordinate with depots, trucking partners, terminals, and other vendors to support efficient equipment movement. Manage equipment flow and match-back planning to align with both regional and global operational needs. Oversee shipper pool programs when required. Monitor equipment aging and take action to reduce aging containers. Ensure empty container lift targets are met and that terminals and depots stay within approved equipment allocations. Qualifications: Minimum of two years of experience in intermodal operations and two years of experience in regional equipment control. Strong track record of meeting performance metrics and operational targets. Experience managing or influencing budgets or expenditures over $10 million is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively. Dependable, responsive, and able to take initiative. Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills. Detail-driven with accuracy in data handling and documentation. Knowledge of intermodal logistics, inland transportation, and port operations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel formulas and macros.
