Onboarding & Project Specialist Compass, LLC has an immediate opening for an Onboarding & Project Specialist to join our fast-paced lien resolution team. Candidates should have at least 6 months of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, health care claims processing, experience in a similar field, or with related course work. The Onboarding & Project Specialist is integral to our Compass lien resolution operation. The Onboarding & Project Specialist will ensure smooth intake of new client projects, lead firm outreach to secure missing data or documentation, support team leadership and analysts with lien project success, and assist with reporting accuracy on the Compass team. Position Location: Austin Office Job Responsibilities: Identify and process incoming lien and/or Medicare Set Aside (MSA) projects for ingestion into case management system. Identify missing documents, demographic data, health-care authorizations, or other required lien and/or MSA initiation information. Reach out to law firm clients to confirm product scope, request missing documents or information, or to effect lien resolution and/or MSA initiation/finalization. Process incoming correspondence in accordance with established protocols. Drafting, organizing, and sending legal and medical claims correspondence. Initiating new lien cases with appropriate lienholders/collectors under the direction of team management and attorneys. Maintain accurate records of deficient information in case management system, including utilizing/updating deficiency reporting tools. Following up via phone, email, and fax on the status of pending requests for information/documentation and/or on status of pending lien/MSA products. Assign lien and/or MSA products to appropriate Single Event or MSA team members using team protocols and procedures. Support Compass and Mass Tort teams through facilitation of Lien Notice Submission monitoring and Collector Research projects. Lien Notice Submission Support includes reviewing and adding lien notices that have been sent directly by the firm, within specified Service Level Agreement (SLA) commitments. Collector Research includes researching the lien holder online and making phone calls to confirm the point of contact. These projects will be assigned via our ticketing system and have specific due dates for completion. Categorize and distribute inbound documentation by service line: Compass and Mass Tort. Utilizing all provided resources and tools, including templates, checklists, training documentation, and task prioritization protocols. Utilizing existing reporting tools to update, revise, and/or assign tasks to Single Event or MSA team members. Completion of special projects and reporting assigned by team management, directors, or attorneys. Required Skill and Abilities: 6+ months of experience as an administrative assistant, legal assistant, health care claims processing, experience in a similar field, or with related course work Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Ability to construct and analyze basic pivot tables and sort data in Excel, draft standard business correspondence, and effectively organize and prioritize email communications via Outlook. 3+ months of experience with case management software and/or billing databases. Preferred knowledge of healthcare claims processing, billing, International Classification of Diseases (ICD) codes. Experience with legal drafting a plus.
