This position requires effective collaboration with unit leadership to ensure adherence to established nursing practices as outlined by governing bodies such as AWONN, ACOG, NNA, and AORN. Key Responsibilities: Observe and collect patient data to assess physical and psychological needs. Plan, implement, and evaluate care to address the emotional, educational, and spiritual needs of patients. Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care. Qualifications: Education: Minimum of an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing. Certifications: BLS required upon hire; ACLS, PALS, and NRP must be obtained within six months of hire. Experience: Preferred background in post-partum nursing. Licensure: Current New York State RN license. Physical Requirements: Repetitive use of hands and fingers, such as typing on a keyboard. Light lifting related to patient care duties. Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods as necessary for patient care. Physically capable of operating necessary equipment for the role.
