Supply Technician This is a T32 excepted service, permanent promotion position. The primary purpose of the Supply Technician, GS-2005-7, is to provide storage and distribution, cataloging or supply identification systems, property utilization, or other related supply activities including those associated with automated or manual supply accounting systems. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance. Requirements: California National Guard membership is required: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Priority areas of consideration: Area I: Current California National Guard employees who are serving on a Permanent/Indefinite/Temporary appointment. Area II: Current California National Guard members. Area III: Current military members of the Air Force/Army National Guard, Air Force/Army Reserve or Air Force/Army Active Duty. Military Grades: E-2 through E-6 Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance. May be required to successfully complete a one or two year trial period. Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Qualifications: General Experience: Possess experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; Knowledge of basic or commonly applied rules, procedures, or operations such as, filling out, posting, filing, controlling, or coding documents and/or transactions Experience using computer and automation systems. Supply Technician, GS-2005-7: Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-05 level, in: a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; experience conducting searches for required information; reconstruct records for supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, and parts; experience performing various aspects of supply specialist work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to segments in one or more major areas of supply management; experience which required person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. Your qualifications will be evaluated on the following competencies: Inventory Management, Manages and Organizes Information, Sourcing, Supply Planning. Education: N/A Additional information: As a condition of employment, new appointees are required to serve a trial period. Individuals who are initially appointed to a permanent or indefinite position in the CMD must complete a one (1) or two (2) year trial period subject to appointment type (DSMT or T5) and veteran's preference. Trial periods for federal excepted service employees are established under 5 CFR Chapter I, Subchapter A-Part 11. MILITARY MEMBERS WITH BONUSES: Upon acceptance of a military technician position military members who are currently receiving a military Reenlistment/Extension Bonus (REB) or GI Bill-SR Kicker may lose incentive eligibility and may be subject to termination or suspension of incentive (includes indefinite and temporary technicians on assignment for more than 180 days in any continuous 12-month period).
