Designer I - Wall Panel Designer

Job Summary Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of bids, quotes, and production-ready designs for roof and floor trusses, wall panels, and/or EWP for single family construction. Demonstrated ability to complete projects with design complexity up to a Level 3 plan, with assistance required only on Level 4 and 5 plans. Works independently with other UFP departments, including sales and operations, to effectively meet and exceed customer expectation. Qualifications Completion of a minimum of one year of service Demonstrated ability to effectively complete assignments independently, providing high quality service to internal and external customers Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and industry standards (lumber basics, load calculation and development, building code, UFP design standards, etc.) Ability to support and mentor other trainees Recommendation by direct supervisor or manager The Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
