The Vice President of Manufacturing & Supply Chain for MCR Safety Group, a Bunzl company, is responsible for leading the strategy, planning, and operational execution of all manufacturing and supply chain functions across the organization. This executive leadership role will oversee multiple global manufacturing plants, own supply chain management along with relationships and outcomes with our global supply base, drive operational excellence, and ensure the efficient movement of raw materials and finished goods throughout our global network. This role reports directly to the global business unit leader of the MCR Safety Group and serves as a key member of the executive leadership team. The ideal candidate will bring extensive hands-on experience managing multiple manufacturing plants and supply chain operations, including international operations, and a proven track record of improving plant performance, safety, quality, cost efficiency, and delivery performance. Scope7 direct manufacturing plants, 3 contract/owned global plants • ~100 raw material and finished goods suppliers • Total spend managed: ~$250M USD Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and execution of MCR Safety Group’s global manufacturing and supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and driving improvements in cost, quality, sustainability, safety, and compliance across the organization. Provide executive leadership for manufacturing and supply chain operations across multiple facilities, ensuring reliable, cost-effective product supply and consistent operational performance. Oversee the performance and strategic direction of manufacturing plants, and supplier networks to ensure high-quality production, operational efficiency, and on-time delivery. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations with a focus on lean manufacturing, operational efficiency, cost optimization, and production scalability. Integrate safety, regulatory compliance, environmental health and safety (EHS), quality assurance, and operational risk management into all manufacturing and supply chain processes. Partner with executive leadership to support strategic planning, operational growth, and performance improvement initiatives. Develop and implement strategies to improve manufacturing output, reduce operational costs, improve quality standards, and strengthen supply chain resilience. Manage relationships with key vendors, suppliers, and strategic partners to ensure optimal procurement, supply continuity, and cost efficiency. Lead cross-functional teams to identify operational gaps relative to business plans and implement corrective strategies to meet revenue, volume, and margin targets. Serve as a change leader who can guide manufacturing organizations through transformation initiatives while building high-performing operational leadership teams. Support leadership development and succession planning within manufacturing and supply chain teams. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 15 years of senior leadership experience in manufacturing and supply chain management, including direct oversight of manufacturing plants or large-scale production facilities. Demonstrated experience managing multiple manufacturing plants and supply chain operations across domestic and international locations. Strong background in supply chain strategy, procurement, inventory management, production planning, and logistics within a complex manufacturing environment. Experience driving manufacturing transformation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across large or multi-site organizations. Strong knowledge of manufacturing methodologies, lean principles, supply chain best practices, and environmental health and safety standards. Experience working in or supporting unionized manufacturing environments is highly preferred. Experience within the PPE, safety equipment, or industrial manufacturing industry is strongly preferred. Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken) is highly desired, with the ability to effectively communicate across international teams. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence at the executive level while managing large, cross-functional teams. Strong analytical, financial, and operational leadership capabilities with the ability to drive measurable business outcomes. Travel Requirements:This role requires significant travel across North America, including regular visits to manufacturing plants and operational facilities. Estimated travel: 50–75% total travel, with approximately 40–50% of travel focused in Mexico, remainder domestic in US or to the far east. While preferred for the candidate to be based in Memphis Tennessee or San Luis Potosi MX, candidates should be located within convenient access to a major international airport to support frequent domestic and international travel. Compensation & Benefits: The anticipated base salary range for this position is $200,000 – $250,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications. This role is also eligible for participation in the company’s executive bonus incentive plan.
