Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Ophthalmic Technician Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 03/30/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Title: Ophthalmic Technician Location: Somerville, MA 02143 Assignment Length: 13 Weeks (Possible Extension) Start Date: March 30, 2026 Shift: Day Shift – 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (No On-Call) Job Summary: We are seeking a qualified Ophthalmic Technician to support ophthalmologists and clinical staff in providing high-quality eye care services. The technician will perform diagnostic testing, assist with patient examinations, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining excellent patient care standards. Key Responsibilities: Assist ophthalmologists during patient examinations and minor procedures Conduct preliminary eye exams including visual acuity testing and patient history Perform ophthalmic diagnostic tests as required Prepare and maintain ophthalmic instruments and equipment Educate patients on procedures and provide instructions as directed by the provider Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Ensure exam rooms and equipment are properly prepared and sanitized Requirements: Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) or Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification Valid COVID-19 vaccination card Copy of valid driver’s license About 3B Healthcare Inc.
