As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor entrances, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents. What You'll Do: + Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises. + Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and materials. + Provide customer service to clients and visitors by addressing inquiries and directing individuals as needed. + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols. + Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and security-related incidents. + Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to company and client protocols. + Assist with emergency response activities as required by the site and Allied Universal guidelines. Minimum Requirements: + A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located. + One or more of the following is required: 1 or more years of law enforcement experience, 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 or more years of security-related experience. + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
