What You'll Do: This role will lead statewide public health and emergency preparedness programs. This role oversees disaster services consultants and planning staff, manages preparedness grants, collaborates with health partners, and ensures Ohio's readiness for emergencies. Key responsibilities include: Direct statewide disaster services and emergency management programs. Lead planning, evaluation, training, and performance improvement activities. Develop emergency response plans, fatality management plans, and exercises with federal, state, regional, and local partners. Track and evaluate program data; provide recommendations to BHP leadership. Supervise, train, and develop staff; lead recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management. Provide technical assistance to hospitals, local health departments, and internal ODH offices. Manage Public Health Emergency Preparedness (PHEP), ASPR, Crisis NOFO, and other preparedness-related funding. Develop grant-related policies and financial guidance. Monitor ODH budgets aligned with grant requirements. Oversee administrative procedures, training schedules, and staff tracking. Identify emerging issues and recommend solutions.
