Functional Test Technician

Build the Future of Aerospace Role Overview PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Functional Test Technician to perform testing, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft electrical systems and components. In this role, you will support production quality by helping ensure aircraft systems meet required engineering and safety standards. Job Title: Functional Test Job Type: Contract, Full time (12 months) Location: North Charleston, SC Schedule: Must be available to work all shifts based on business needs Pay Rate: 6 months to 2 years exp - $27.13 | 3- 5 years exp: $33.00 Key Responsibilities Perform functional testing of aircraft electrical systems and components Troubleshoot and repair aircraft electrical and avionics components Assess, document, and analyze test data to ensure compliance with engineering and quality requirements Identify production roadblocks or constraints and escalate unresolved issues Provide cross-training and mentorship to support team performance Follow established safety and regulatory procedures Must be available to work variable shifts (1st, 2nd, or 3rd) as required Required Qualifications 1+ year of experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing 1+ year of experience in electrical assembly or electronic materials 1+ year of experience with avionics systems troubleshooting, wire bundle installations, or aircraft electrical system troubleshooting 1+ year of experience using software applications such as internet navigation tools, email, Microsoft Suite, or other systems 1+ year of experience reading and following detailed work instructions, blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English Ability to perform physical activities including bending, kneeling, overhead reaching, twisting, standing, climbing, crawling, and crouching Preferred Qualifications Experience testing complex aircraft electrical or avionics systems Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Experience mentoring or cross-training others in a production environment Why Join PDS Tech Commercial At PDS Tech Commercial, you will be part of a collaborative and safety-focused team supporting aircraft production.
