Job Description

Join our team as a Pharmacy Operations Leader! In this role, you will have the responsibility for overseeing all pharmacy practices while adhering to state and federal laws as well as corporate policies. Your mission will be to optimize the financial performance of the pharmacy department by managing the budget, controlling labor costs, training staff, enhancing customer service, and implementing approved clinical services. Key Responsibilities: Perform all functions of a staff pharmacist while serving as a role model for the pharmacy team; handle customer complaints effectively and optimize workflow to minimize wait times. Develop and implement the sales plan in collaboration with the division pharmacy department, enhancing our revenue streams. Fulfill all responsibilities expected of a registered pharmacist, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards. Guide the pharmacy team in achieving inventory goals, minimizing overstock, and ensuring staff is well-trained in ordering and inventory procedures. Adhere to corporate controlled substance operating procedures and maintain compliance. Monitor third-party insurance profitability, addressing issues and audits promptly. Schematically manage pharmacy staff schedules to control labor costs effectively. Maintain comprehensive pharmacy records in accordance with state and federal laws and corporate policies. Lead the pharmacy to meet budgetary goals in labor, volume, inventory, and sales. Engage in effective outreach to local physicians and community organizations. Promote and participate in public health initiatives and disease management services. Be willing to travel independently as needed to support business objectives. Supervise and mentor direct reports, conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback. Exhibit the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment. Effectively manage conflicts in a constructive and non-confrontational way. Maintain integrity regarding all customer and business information. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. Provide assistance and support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults. Be able to fulfill the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) from an accredited U.S. School of Pharmacy. 2+ years of relevant retail experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid pharmacy license in good standing. Demonstrated leadership skills. Ability to accurately read and interpret prescriptions and various documents. Strong written communication skills for routine reports and correspondence. Dedication to delivering excellent customer service. Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Willingness to pursue ongoing education as needed. Participation in clinical programs after completing company-sponsored training. Desired Qualifications: Relevant Pharmacy Board Certification(s). Experience or education in business management. Compensation: $73.50 - $87.00 per hour
