Job Title: FabricatorJob Description We are seeking two skilled Fabricators to join our team in building large industrial machines for various manufacturing companies. This position involves true custom fabrication, primarily working on giant paint machines that include conveyors, robots, and baking ovens. You will be part of a dynamic team, contributing to the machine building process, which includes welding, bending sheet metal, and utilizing the press brake machine. Responsibilities Fabricate large industrial machines, including giant paint machines with conveyors, robots, and baking ovens. Work with large steel frames, giant sheet metal panels, and various other metal parts. Perform welding, bending of sheet metal, and utilize press brake machines. Drive the forklift to move parts and machines as needed. Read and interpret blueprints to fabricate custom machines. Troubleshoot and create solutions to build machines properly, considering the custom nature of each project. Assist in assembling and disassembling machines for shipping to customers. Travel minimally (approximately 15% per year) within the US to assist in machine assembly at customer sites. Essential Skills Minimum of 3 years of custom fabrication experience. Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding. Ability to read and work from blueprints. Experience in bending sheet metal. Valid driver's license for operating a forklift. Additional Skills & Qualifications Problem-solving skills for creating solutions during machine fabrication. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a large, clean, and organized facility with a team of 15 professionals. The position is on the 1st shift from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential overtime starting at 6:00 AM. Expect to work every other Saturday for the next couple of months. The work environment is supportive and focused on building high-quality custom machines. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $28.00/hr.
