Location Detail: 81 Retreat Ave HH Core Bldg (10067) Shift Detail: 36 hours, three (3) 12-hour shifts per week. Every 5th weekend days or weekend call, call shift once per week. 1-2 holidays on call. Job Summary The Cardiac Catheterization lab at Hartford Hospital features four advanced suites, two monitoring rooms, scrub areas, a supply room, and a holding area. With approximately 5,000 diagnostic cardiac catheterizations and 1,500 interventions performed each year, we ensure 24-hour backup from our operating room for any needed open-heart surgeries. As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Catheterization lab, you will provide exceptional care for patients undergoing various catheterization and interventional procedures with administration of conscious sedation/analgesia. Your expertise in IABP, cardiac medications, and emergency care will be invaluable. Work collaboratively within a diverse interdisciplinary team focused on patient-centered care. Under the guidance of the Nurse Manager, you will apply evidence-based practices and develop comprehensive care plans that address all aspects of patient needs—including physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational considerations. Primary Responsibilities: Deliver nursing support for complex catheterization and interventional procedures. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred) with a current CT license. 2-4 years minimum experience in cardiology; critical care experience is highly preferred. Experience in Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology is a strong advantage. Must be collaborative and adaptable to work in a close team environment.
