The Colleague Health Services Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering customer-focused clinical programs that prioritize the health and safety of our Hartford HealthCare team members. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, CDC guidelines, and relevant federal and state regulations for healthcare workers. Key responsibilities include: Implementing health and wellness promotion initiatives and illness/injury prevention programs aimed at reducing occupational risks. These initiatives encompass universal vaccinations, respiratory protection, tuberculosis surveillance, bloodborne pathogens, hearing conservation, and environmental safety. Overseeing pre-employment examinations and ensuring timely medical clearance for new colleagues. Documenting care accurately in electronic health records in alignment with OSHA standards, CDC guidelines, and other applicable regulations. Contributing to the development and rollout of new programs to enhance Colleague Health Services. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. Experience: 3-5 years of nursing experience preferred. Familiarity with OSHA regulations, CDC guidelines, and healthcare worker safety programs is highly desirable. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Effective written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong collaboration and interpersonal abilities. Detail-oriented with outstanding follow-through capabilities. Ability to foster teamwork and contribute to the sharing of knowledge and best practices. Capacity to prioritize effectively amidst multiple competing projects and programs. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Willingness to engage with colleagues at all levels of the organization. Self-motivated and eager to pursue opportunities for growth. Commitment to staying updated in the field through continued education, networking, and awareness of industry advancements.
