Job Description

Join an elite defense force dedicated to safeguarding the nation. As a Special Warfare Combatant-Craft Operator (SWCC), you will play a crucial role in executing high-risk warfare and reconnaissance missions. Your commitment and training allow you to support Navy SEALs and other Special Operations personnel in critical settings, making you an essential component of the U.S. Navy. Responsibilities: Insert and extract SEALs and Special Operations personnel from various naval vessels. Gather intelligence on enemy military installations and coastal shipping traffic. Collaborate with other military and law enforcement agencies. Operate and maintain specialized equipment including small boats and ordnance systems. Conduct direct action raids on enemy assets. Provide rapid mobility in shallow water areas during operations. Work alongside other U.S. Special Operations forces to achieve strategic objectives. Work Environment: As a SWCC operator, you will be deployed globally, operating in diverse conditions including cold weather, deserts, tropical regions, and jungles. While you will spend significant time on missions and training, you may also have administrative duties in an office setting. Training and Advancement: SWCC operators undergo rigorous physical and mental training. You may qualify for this role through the Delayed Entry Program or by volunteering after boot camp. Key training includes: Recruit Training Command (10 weeks) Naval Special Warfare Orientation (7 weeks) Basic Crewman Selection (7 weeks) Basic Crewmen Training (7 weeks) Crewman Qualification Training (10 weeks) Promotion opportunities are competitive and based on performance, providing a clear path for advancement. Post-Service Opportunities: Training and experience gained as a SWCC operator can lead to valuable credentials and job opportunities in related fields. Education Opportunities: Members of the Naval Special Warfare community have access to a range of educational advancements, including: Professional certifications and credentials. Credit hours toward a degree through military training. Navy College Program, Tuition Assistance, and Post-9/11 GI Bill for further education. Qualifications and Requirements: To become a SWCC operator, candidates must meet specific qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Vision requirements: 20/40 best eye; 20/70 worst eye, correctable to 20/25 with no color blindness. Minimum ASVAB score: AR+VE=103, MC=51. Must be 30 years old or younger and a U.S. citizen eligible for security clearance. Excellent physical condition, strong swimming skills, and mental resilience. Ability to perform under stressful conditions and follow orders. Ensure you are prepared to meet the demanding challenges of this role and make a significant impact in national defense. Please note that there are no part-time opportunities for this position in the Navy Reserve.
