Description Join Our Team as a Construction Estimator! This is an exciting opportunity to provide precise estimating and planning services for our diverse clientele, including State DOTs, municipalities, and private contractors. Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt Monday - Friday (Hybrid) - 8 hours daily Pay: $65,000 - $82,000 Annually (Based on Experience) Benefits: Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage with immediate eligibility Profit Sharing and 401K options Company-paid Life Insurance Supplemental Life Insurance for Spouses and Children Voluntary Aflac Supplemental Insurance programs Long-term Disability Coverage Pre-Paid Legal Plan Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Generous Paid Time Off Paid Holidays A variety of Employee Discount Programs and Resources Key Responsibilities: Utilize your design and construction expertise to prepare accurate estimates for traffic signals, street lighting, roadway signage, guardrails, and other DOT-related projects. Analyze construction challenges and propose effective solutions while managing multiple projects. Maintain clear communication with internal team members, government representatives, and private clients. Conduct pre-bid site visits to gather essential data and ensure accurate bidding. Proficiently utilize construction estimating software, including Bid2Win and CAD tools like AutoCAD and GIS-based drafting tools. Minimum Qualifications: At least 3 years of experience in construction, electrical, or a related estimating field. Exceptional customer service and communication abilities. A strong commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate estimates. Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends, to meet client needs. Competence in interpreting construction drawings and specifications. Pre-Screening: Successful candidates will complete a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and MVR check. Licenses & Certifications: A valid driver’s license is mandatory. Travel Requirements: In-state travel required, with mileage reimbursement and possible company-paid overnight stays. Some out-of-state travel may be necessary during training. Physical Requirements: RARE (less than 10%): activities such as climbing, crawling, and gripping. OCCASIONAL (up to 33%): standing, sitting, lifting up to 50 lbs., and climbing stairs. FREQUENT (up to 66%): walking and manual dexterity.
