This pivotal role focuses on ensuring patients receive medically appropriate, high-quality care while supporting compliance with organizational and payer standards. Key Responsibilities: Conduct clinical reviews for inpatient and outpatient cases, evaluating medical necessity using InterQual or MCG guidelines. Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, case managers, and insurance representatives to resolve authorization and level-of-care decisions. Prepare appeals for denied claims and identify trends impacting utilization. Support discharge planning, case management, and care coordination. Contribute to process improvements that enhance documentation accuracy and patient outcomes.
