Job Title: 1st Shift - Shipping and Receiving Supervisor Job Description The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor will oversee a team of 8-10 employees, balancing time between the floor and office. This role involves leading and supporting shipping and receiving operations, ensuring the smooth, accurate, and timely flow of materials to both manufacturing and customers. Participation in meetings with other leadership is a key component of this position. Responsibilities Lead and support shipping and receiving operations to ensure smooth, accurate, and timely flow of materials. Oversee domestic and international logistics activities, ensuring compliance with customs and import/export regulations. Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency-improving initiatives to enhance service, quality, and value. Manage transportation costs and carrier performance, securing competitive rates while maintaining reliable, high-quality service. Establish and enforce policies and procedures to control and reduce expedited freight. Support accurate inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to meet production schedules, forecasts, and delivery commitments. Promote strong inventory accuracy through effective stockroom management and leadership of the cycle count process, maintaining accuracy above 95%. Ensure all transactions, documentation, and records are completed accurately and meet compliance requirements. Lead special projects, continuous-improvement initiatives, and strategic initiatives as needed. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $64000.00 - $80000.00/yr.
