Key Responsibilities: Expand your client base through networking, maintaining a robust referral network, and ensuring exceptional client experiences. Create customized, comprehensive financial plans that meet the unique needs of each client. Oversee and manage clients' financial plans to support them in reaching their objectives. Nurture lasting relationships with clients, guiding them through every major life stage. Training, Licenses, & Designations: Northwestern Mutual prides itself on having one of the best-trained sales teams in the nation. Your training and professional growth will be prioritized throughout your career, beginning with our award-winning program tailored for your first three years. You'll engage with industry experts, learn vital client acquisition strategies for long-term success, and gain insights from seasoned financial advisors through hands-on experiences. To become a Financial Planning Consultant, you will need to obtain the following licenses: Life/Accident & Health Certifications, Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), and Series 6, 7, and 63. Northwestern Mutual offers pre-payment and reimbursement for course tuition fees and materials. Compensation & Benefits: Performance-based earnings with an average annual income of $61K-$119K (based on 2018-2023 data for representatives in their first three years). Top 25% advisors can earn between $137K-$250K annually. Additional income to support training and early development. Renewal income for continued policy management and client support. Bonuses and expense allowances. Support for obtaining insurance and securities licenses. Fully funded retirement package and pension plan. Comprehensive medical, vision, and dental insurance. They are treated as independent contractors for income tax purposes and statutory employees for Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA) purposes. Northwestern Mutual operates under The Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company (NM) and its subsidiaries based in Milwaukee, WI. Eligibility for pre-payment and reimbursement programs requires a minimum of three years of service with Northwestern Mutual. 1Income is variable and includes first-year and renewal commissions, bonuses, and fees. Figures reflect averages from 2018-2023 and are based on full-time, active financial representatives. 2Certification marks are regulated by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc., which grants authorization to individuals meeting specific certification criteria. 3Financial Consultants at Northwestern Mutual are independent contractors whose income is production-based. A national criminal background check is mandatory for contract approval. Ineligibility due to background findings will result in contract withdrawal. Pay Range: USD $61,000.00 - USD $250,000.00 /Yr.
