Northern Light Acadia Hospital Department: Nursing Administration Position is located: Acadia Work Type: Full Time Hours Per Week: 36.00 Work Schedule: Variable Summary: The Northern Light Acadia RN Sponsorship Program will be accepting applications for our next cohort! The Northern Light Acadia RN Sponsorship program consists of the following benefits: Candidates accepted into the program will be awarded full tuition paid for up to a two-year accelerated nursing program or for the final two years of a nursing program of their choice. These years will be considered "sponsored years." During the sponsored years, Acadia will pay for the employee to attend class and study, for up to 12 hours per week. During the sponsored years, the employee will work as a psych tech or group/activity coordinator role at Northern Light Acadia for 24 hours per week. Employees accepted into the program will be considered full time and will be eligible to receive full time benefits. When not actively enrolled in full-time classes, the employee agrees to work full time 36 hours/per week. If enrolled in part-time class schedule, hours will be prorated. Post NCLEX, the employee promises to remain a full-time nurse with Northern Light Health (Acadia) for 1 year for every $10,000 paid on their behalf for tuition and/or educational expenses to their school during the sponsored year(s) with a maximum commitment of five years of service. Will apply to an open new grad position within Acadia and will be enrolled in the Nurse Residency program for their first year of nursing practice. Acadia agrees to reimburse student for one NCLEX preparation study guide. To be considered, applicants must meet the following: Currently enrolled in nursing school or hold an acceptance letter to be enrolled. Be within two years of being eligible to sit for the NCLEX. Have prior work experience with good recommendations, ideally in a patient care setting. Able to commit to at least 12 hours of work-per week (36-hours required during school breaks and orientation) 3.0 GPA at current school (if applicable) Please submit the following items at time of application: Cover letter discussing why you are interested in this position. 3 Letters of recommendation (1 from academic institution if currently enrolled in program) Letter of acceptance to program with projected graduation date. Transcripts (all college education, high school if no college degree). Responsibilities: Records, maintains, distributes, and prepares documents of information. Creating and implementing nursing practices to foster a positive organized work environment while planning, prioritizing and assigning healthcare tasks to clinical support team members. Collaborates with physician/LIP in multidisciplinary professional staff to implement patient care. Ensure adherence to all relevant nursing standards and compliance with nursing policies and procedures. Maintain quality assurance in nursing documentation. Participate in quality assurance activities, makes recommendations for monitoring needs, plans activities for correcting deficiencies. Provides report to senior leadership. Other Duties as assigned.
