They are the face of our company, connecting and building lasting relationships with our customers! The driver will operate a tractor trailer or straight truck on local and interstate routes, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of products according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Primary Responsibilities: Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and colleagues, providing accurate and timely answers to inquiries. Act as a team player and perform various tasks to best serve the company. Conduct required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections per DOT regulations, and monitor vehicle condition. Report safety concerns and any required repairs. Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company driving policies. Immediately report safety hazards and ensure freight is properly loaded and secured. Conduct count checks and verify customer invoices for loaded products. Complete all required paperwork for freight in a clear and accurate manner. Move tractors to loading docks and attach preloaded trailers as needed. Deliver customer orders according to a predetermined schedule. Unload products and transport them to designated customer storage areas. Perform damage checks on items, scan products, and follow company policy for removing damaged orders. Verify delivery with customers and obtain necessary signatures. Collect payments (cash or checks) when applicable and secure trailer doors after loading customer returns. Ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are secured when not in use. Unload damaged goods and customer returns, completing necessary paperwork. Maintain daily logs of hours of service complying with Federal DOT, state, and company guidelines. Keep the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers clean and organized. At the end of the shift, secure all equipment and complete paperwork. Complete other related duties as necessary. Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent 12+ months of commercial driving experience Valid CDL-A Must be at least 21 years old Compliance with all State licensing and certification requirements (if applicable) Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years Successful completion of post-offer drug test and background check Pass a road test Obtain or maintain a valid DOT Health Card Ability to hand-lift and use equipment to move and stack product cases/freight, weights generally range from 10 to approximately 90 pounds, depending on the location.
