Quality Assurance Engineer

Position: Quality Assurance Engineer Onsite - Redwood City, CA Full time Salary - $120k - $130k + Benefits Job id #- 160181 Key Responsibilities: Be an integral member of the Material Review Board (MRB) team to assess and address nonconforming parts. Lead and document comprehensive root cause analyses and prepare detailed RCCA (Root Cause and Corrective Action) reports in collaboration with customers and internal teams. Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) in line with customer and internal specifications. Execute internal audits to ensure compliance with established company procedures and quality standards. Support and facilitate external customer and supplier audits as required. Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing costs, enhancing process efficiency, and improving product quality. Work collaboratively with Production, Engineering, and Customer Service teams to ensure consistent quality performance across departments. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience). A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or metal finishing environment, preferably in the semiconductor or aerospace industries. Strong grasp of quality tools and methodologies (RCA, 5 Whys, 8D, PDCA, etc.). Experience with inspection techniques, dimensional measurement tools, and FAI documentation (AS9102 preferred). Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; capable of effective collaboration across various departments. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or comparable quality management systems. A background in mechanical work or a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturing blueprints and technical drawings.
