Job Description

Family Empowerment Specialist Join our mission to create positive change for individuals and families within our community. We are on the lookout for a caring and driven Family Empowerment Specialist to work with families, providing trauma-informed, community-based services. In this rewarding position, you will engage directly with clients in their homes, schools, and neighborhoods, helping them enhance life skills, achieve stability, and connect with vital resources. Your Responsibilities Deliver skill-building services to individuals and families in both home and community settings Evaluate family needs and assist in personalized goal setting Execute service plans developed collaboratively with clients and referral sources Link families to appropriate community resources and support services Provide transportation for clients when necessary Keep accurate and timely documentation and case records Engage in family meetings and collaborate with team members Handle crisis situations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to trauma-informed care principles Manage a direct service caseload of approximately 25-32 hours per week Be flexible with working hours, including evenings and occasional weekends as needed Ideal Candidate: Is passionate about empowering families and individuals Excels in a dynamic, community-focused environment Possesses strong communication skills and builds supportive relationships Is dedicated to fostering resilience and long-term success Work Schedule General hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, with evening and weekend hours as needed based on client requirements. A commitment to 40 hours weekly is expected. Compensation & Benefits Starting wage of $18.00-$20.00 per hour, depending on experience Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance Complimentary meals available in our dining hall Paid holidays along with PTO (vacation and sick leave) Casual dress policy Access to a full workout facility on-site Qualifications: Must be at least 21 years of age Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, human services, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field OR an associate degree in a related field with two or more years of experience working with children and families Prior experience in in-home or community-based services is preferred Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and a good driving record Must pass a thorough background check and drug screening Strong communication, documentation, and time management skills Able to work independently while effectively collaborating with a team CPR and First Aid certification (provided during pre-service if necessary) Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Cultural sensitivity and capacity to work effectively with diverse populations Join our team and make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve!
