Job Description NOW HIRING: Tool & Die Maker (Direct Hire) Morton Grove, IL $31.00 - $40.00 per hour (Based on Skills & Experience) Direct Hire - Full-Time Position We are seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join a well-established manufacturing team in Morton Grove, IL. This is a Direct Hire opportunity offering competitive pay and long-term stability for skilled trades professionals. The ideal candidate has strong die building and repair experience, understands precision machining, and can independently fabricate, assemble, and modify tooling to exact specifications. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and tooling specifications Plan and execute sequence of machining operations Measure, mark, and lay out metal stock for machining Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools including: Lathe Milling machines Machining centers Wire EDM Grinders Fit and assemble die components and mechanisms Verify dimensions and alignment using micrometers, height gauges, and precision instruments Modify and repair existing tooling as needed Develop tooling specifications from general descriptions Perform preventive maintenance and maintain coolant levels Maintain safe and organized work area Input labor into data collection systems Communicate with supervisors and team members to coordinate production needs Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Minimum 4 years of trade school, apprenticeship, or hands-on die building experience Strong background in production die building and repair Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Experience working with precision measuring instruments Ability to interpret machine controls and computer screens Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose machine issues Physical & Working Conditions Exposure to high noise levels Exposure to oils, cutting fluids, dust, and fumes Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, and pull throughout shift Ability to lift: 50-100 lbs occasionally 25-50 lbs frequently 10-20 lbs regularly Pre-Employment Requirements Drug screen required Background check required Interested candidates, call us at 847-663-5322 and ask for Monica Montes Email: Apply online at Meet Your RecruiterEsmeralda Montes
