Job Description

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently hiring a Quality Engineer to join our client in Des Plaines, IL. This direct hire opportunity is fully onsite. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for resolving issues when a customer receives non-conforming parts. This role requires 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of fastener manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills to be able to identify the details and describe the problem succinctly with data. Responsibilities: Respond to customer complaints for non-conforming parts or issues Identify the problem and contain the issue Analyze root causes using problem-solving tools Collect and review data to provide solutions and act objectively while supporting the customer's needs Provide realistic timelines and ensure all deadlines are met Escalate requests that are not warranted Some travel required Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Engineering required Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of fastener manufacturing processes Automotive industry experience preferred Excellent communication skills Strong problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to recognize time constraints for the customer and find a quick resolution Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with matching and 3 weeks of paid time off.
