Pharmacy Director | Logan, Ohio

Lead the pharmacy operations at a community hospital in Logan, OH, serving as the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge. This contract role offers an opportunity to manage inpatient pharmacy services in a collaborative setting with an emphasis on quality patient care, compliance, and staff leadership. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily pharmacy operations including staffing, scheduling, medication ordering, and regulatory compliance. Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge ensuring safe and effective medication distribution. Manage sterile compounding and handle narcotics accountability. Participate in departmental meetings and training initiatives. Provide weekend and on-call coverage, including every fourth weekend rotation with on-call duties from Friday evening to Monday morning. Utilize EPIC order entry system and Pyxis automation, with training available as needed. Support specialty areas including Emergency Department, Infusion, and Orthopedics. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active Ohio Pharmacist licensure required. Experience in inpatient pharmacy, including IV preparations and 340B program knowledge. Leadership skills in staff management and pharmacy operations. Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis preferred; training provided. Comfortable with weekend and on-call responsibilities. Commitment to maintaining high standards, demonstrated by involvement in recent DNV accreditation. Schedule: Monday to Friday: 7:30 am - 6:00 pm Saturday: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm 4-10 hour shifts with on-call coverage when pharmacy is closed. Work Environment: Pharmacy team includes 1 full-time pharmacist and 2 PRN staff. Support from pharmacy technicians for IVs and filling machines (verification duties excluded). Gray scrubs dress code. Onboarding through educational modules and on-the-job training. Possible housing assistance coordinating with local cabin owners. This contract begins mid-March 2026, covering until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is in place. Candidates must be ready to start on March 16.
