The successful candidate will provide essential speech and language therapy services to students in PreK-12 schools, aiding them in enhancing communication skills and addressing speech and language disorders. Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities. Craft individualized therapy plans and goals based on assessment outcomes and specific student needs. Deliver direct therapy services to students, focusing on areas such as articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills. Collaborate with educators, parents, and other team members to support student communication goals in classrooms and other educational environments. Utilize evidence-based techniques and therapeutic activities to foster speech and language development. Monitor student progress and adapt therapy plans to ensure optimal outcomes. Accurately document therapy sessions, progress reports, and related information in a timely manner. Engage in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide insights into students' speech and language requirements. Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Current ASHA certification required. Passionate about working with K-12 students. Experience in delivering speech-language therapy services in school or pediatric settings. Proficient with commonly used assessment tools and therapeutic techniques in pediatric speech-language pathology. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with students, parents, and school staff. Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail. Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and other assistive technologies is preferred.
