Character of PositionAs a Weld Fitter, you will be responsible for fitting, fabricating, and assembling the structural components that make up a tool. Responsibilities Analyze and interpret the blueprints to determine the specifications, tolerances, and locate/read the stock list on a drawing Prep, lay out, fit, position, and secure parts and assemblies according to specificationsTack-weld or weld components and assembliesWeld components in flat, vertical, or horizontal positionsFabricate and assemble metal components using various welding techniquesPerform precision fitting and adjustments to ensure proper assemblyMaintain the proper tooling to complete tasksConstruct structural components from raw materialsAbility to saw, miter, and fit fabricationsReplace damaged or defective structural components as neededCertified in TIG and MIG weldingFollow OSHA safety guidelines, and ITAR compliance Other duties as assigned Skills Ability to use hand and power tools Use of straightedge, combination square, and calipers. Use of shears, power saws, cutting torches, and chipper knives to cut structural components Ability to concentrate for extended periodsAbility to read a tape measureStrong analytical skillsProblem solving skillsExcellent communication, time management, and organizational skills Experience Proven experience working as a weld fitterMinimum of 2 years' experience Education High School Diploma or equivalent Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required- No sponsorship offered.
