About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Part-Time Registered Dietitian who has a passion for working with the elderly. In this role, you will assess the nutritional needs of patients/residents and implement interventions to enhance their nutritional status and overall quality of life. This position offers a commitment of 17 hours per week at Farmington Presbyterian Manor and additional coverage of 8 hours every other week at Rolla Presbyterian Manor. Key Responsibilities: Conduct nutrition assessments for new admissions, quarterly reviews, annual evaluations, and specific changes in patient condition. Provide nutrition education tailored to resident needs. Collaborate with the nursing staff to create and update care plans that align with each resident's preferences. Complete necessary assessments and documentation for regulatory compliance. Utilize nutrition-focused physical exams to identify malnutrition in residents. Engage in care conferences with families to discuss resident updates. Work with the interdisciplinary team to ensure resident-centered care during clinical meetings. Participate in quarterly Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) meetings. Conduct monthly kitchen inspections and meal service audits. Qualifications: Must-Haves: Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field (prior to 2024). Passed a national examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR), or meets the eligibility requirements set by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Completion of 75 hours of continuing education every five years according to CDR standards. Current licensure or certification in accordance with state laws. Knowledge of regulatory standards related to comprehensive assessments and care planning. Ability to educate others on nutrition and dietetics. Nice-to-Haves: Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field. Experience working in healthcare or long-term care settings.
