JOB TITLE: Project/Program Manager IVDURATION: 12 monthsLOCATION: Open to remote, or hybrid - or fully onsite in Arlington, VAPAY RATE: $70 - $80 HOURLYJob Description: Innovation Project Manager - Semiconductor Manufacturing & Supply Chain Decarbonization Position Summary Contract role to identify, structure, and deploy innovation projects across semiconductor manufacturing and supply chain operations to drive emissions reductions and support AWS climate commitments. Key Responsibilities Innovation Identification Identify and evaluate emissions reduction opportunities in semiconductor manufacturing and supply chain Develop business cases with emissions abatement potential, ROI analysis, and implementation roadmaps Conduct technology assessments and market scans for decarbonization solutions Project Execution Design and structure innovation projects with clear milestones, metrics, and governance Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, operations, procurement, sustainability) Develop project plans, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies Oversee execution to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with targeted emissions reductions Create transition documentation for continuity Stakeholder Management Build relationships with semiconductor suppliers, manufacturing partners, and technology providers Coordinate with Procurement teams Present updates and recommendations to senior leadership Technical Expertise Serve as SME on semiconductor manufacturing processes, supply chain, and emissions sources Provide guidance on decarbonization technologies (process optimization, energy efficiency, renewable energy, circular economy) Develop training materials and capability-building programs Track industry trends and best practices Performance Tracking Establish KPIs and measurement frameworks for project performance and emissions impact Document methodologies, outcomes, and lessons learned Create dashboards and reporting mechanisms Ensure alignment with sustainability reporting frameworks Prepare end-of-contract summary report Required Qualifications 7+ years in project management, innovation management, or operations in semiconductor manufacturing or supply chain Expertise in semiconductor manufacturing processes and supply chain operations Proven track record deploying complex innovation projects in time-constrained environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities Experience as contractor with ability to integrate quickly PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification Ability to work independently and deliver immediate impact Preferred Qualifications Direct experience in sustainability/decarbonization in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing Master's degree in Engineering, Business, Sustainability, or Supply Chain Management Deep knowledge of semiconductor emissions sources (Scope 1, 2, 3) Experience with innovation frameworks (Stage-Gate, Agile, Design Thinking) Track record delivering measurable emissions reductions in manufacturing/supply chain Experience managing third-party partnerships Familiarity with sustainability frameworks (GHG Protocol, SBTi, CDP) Strong financial acumen with business case development experience Change management and organizational transformation experience Technical background in semiconductor engineering or materials science Experience creating transition documentation and knowledge transfer materials EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
