CNC Machinist

Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description Join a leading gear and gear-related manufacturing company based in Princeton, Indiana, renowned for supplying critical components to the steel, bridge, aluminum, aggregate, and mining industries. We seek a skilled machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC and manual machine tools, ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality requirements. Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate CNC/Manual Machine Tools to complete parts according to safety standards and quality requirements. Interpret work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, and machining parameters, including geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Perform programming on machine tools by entering instructions, setting tools, and calculating requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry. Maintain specifications, tolerances, and quality requirements during various machining processes such as drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, and more. Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot machines, and assist during repairs. Ensure proper care and maintenance of machine tools, tooling, fixturing, equipment, and supplies. Maintain continuity on irregularities and recommendations across work shifts using the company's prescribed communication methods. Essential Skills Proficiency in CNC machining, lathe, mill, gear cutting, and grinding. Strong working knowledge of machining and machine setup. Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and GD&T. Experience with CAM systems and machine programming. Additional Skills & Qualifications College-level certificate in CNC machining. Significant CNC machine work experience. Preferred experience with horizontal or vertical boring mills. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in CNC or Precision Machining. Willingness to learn and adapt to niche machining and various machines, including German brands like Schiess & Hankook. Why Work Here?
