Position Summary The Delivery Specialist plays a crucial role in safely and efficiently operating a commercial motor vehicle while adhering to company policies and Federal and State regulations. This position focuses on delivering freight securely and undamaged, working collaboratively to load and unload materials while providing exceptional customer service. Duties & Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of trucks and trailers to ensure safe operation. Safely load building materials onto flatbed or boom trucks and unload products at both commercial and residential job sites. Deliver materials to designated areas as instructed by the customer, prioritizing safety at all times. Maintain accurate records for compliance with State and Federal regulations. Report any accidents involving the driver or company equipment promptly. Lift heavy building materials up to 100+ lbs during loading and unloading tasks. Exhibit outstanding customer service skills while maintaining a professional demeanor. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED is required. A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is essential. Minimum Class B license is required; Class A is strongly preferred. Clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) is necessary. Knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations is required. Core Competencies Demonstrated trustworthiness and integrity in all actions. Physical Requirements Ability to remain in a stationary position while driving a commercial vehicle approximately 40% of the time. Capable of lifting heavy building materials up to 80 lbs for loading and unloading. Frequently move materials weighing up to 80 lbs while unloading flatbed trucks. Constantly transport materials from commercial motor vehicles to job sites. Regularly operate commercial motor vehicles and/or boom vehicles. Frequently position oneself to unload materials from flatbed or boom trucks. Adept at judging distances while delivering materials or operating boom equipment. Effectively communicate with management and coworkers. Work outdoors consistently during delivery tasks. Required Cognitive Skills Ability to prioritize job sites and manage deadlines efficiently. Manage stress effectively related to customer deadlines. Exceptional multitasking skills. Ability to accurately receive and follow instructions. Quickly communicate solutions in response to problems. Starting wages may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. Hourly associates may be eligible for overtime based on business needs, performance-based bonuses, commissions, car allowances, and travel expense reimbursement in line with company policy.
