Job Description Join our team as a Commercial Parts Specialist, where you'll play a pivotal role in driving the success of our commercial business! This is a professional-level sales position focused on customer retention and growth, working closely with the General Manager to manage and develop team members. Your expertise in automotive systems and parts will be invaluable as you enhance our service offerings. Primary Responsibilities Maintain and nurture relationships with commercial customers. Deliver exceptional GAS2 selling experiences to commercial clients. Achieve personal and store sales goals while ensuring a high level of service. Provide day-to-day supervisory support to Team Members. Collaborate with the GM to identify coaching and developmental needs for Team Members. Ensure timely and accurate delivery by effectively dispatching drivers. Oversee and maintain commercial stocking programs. Build and maintain a network of secondary source suppliers. Secondary Responsibilities Manage core bank and commercial returns. Monitor commercial credit accounts. Partner with GM to maintain adequate driver coverage. Success Factors Friendly and effective communication skills. Strong ability to locate and stock automotive parts efficiently. Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices. Proficiency in operating inventory systems and store equipment. Deep understanding of parts and automotive systems. Experience with POS and parts lookup systems. Possession of ASE P2 certification or equivalent preferred. Strong advanced selling skills for commercial accounts. Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic environment. Effective problem-solving and listening skills. Essential Job Skills Necessary for Success Working knowledge of automotive systems and diagnosis, including engine, suspension, brakes, electronics, and exhaust. Fluency in spoken and written English (Spanish is a plus) to communicate effectively and build strong customer relationships. Adept at interpreting documents such as safety rules, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals; creating simple correspondence. Ability to follow instructions delivered in written, oral, or graphical form. Complete the Parts Knowledge Assessment successfully. Utilize basic math skills accurately in various units of measure. Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel). Strong organizational skills and understanding of commercial profitability concepts. Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends. Experience That Sets You Up for Success Minimum of 3 years of experience in automotive parts preferred. Demonstrated sales ability with prior experience in fulfilling customer transactions. Experience in leading teams, supervising daily tasks, and collaborating to achieve goals. Education High school diploma or GED required. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations ASE certification preferred but not mandatory. Physical Demands This role involves walking and standing for extended periods, with frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and the occasional need to lift up to 100 pounds. You'll need good vision and motor skills to handle tasks safely and efficiently. Work Environment You will primarily work indoors, with occasional outdoor tasks. Be prepared to work in various weather conditions and around moving mechanical parts. This position is eligible for sales commission based on individual or store performance. Compensation Range The estimated pay range for this role starts at $18.15 to $19.96 per hour, determined by factors such as geographic location, relevant experience, automotive knowledge, and leadership skills.
