In the Shea Unit, our professional team delivers skilled, compassionate care in a specialized, multi-level inpatient setting. Our 30-bed medical-surgical and telemetry unit forms the heart of our department, complemented by additional beds for step-down/PCU and orthopedic patients. As part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on our community's health. Position Summary: As a Registered Nurse, you will leverage your knowledge and skills to develop tailored care plans addressing the physical, psycho-social, spiritual, cultural, educational, and developmental needs of our patients. EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated understanding of nursing processes and a commitment to customer service. National certification in a specialty area is preferred. Experience in an acute care hospital setting is also preferred, along with IV skills and secondary language abilities. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: For Medical Surgical units and PCU: Current BLS certification is required; ACLS certification should be obtained within 3 months of employment. PCU training must be completed within 6 months for new graduates and 3 months for experienced RNs, or successful completion of BKAT. NNR training is required for OB nursing. QUALIFICATIONS: You should possess a current CT RN licensure or be in the process of obtaining one, and must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
