About the Role: As a Medical Imaging (Radiology) Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working closely with our Radiology team. Reporting to the Manager of Vascular and Cardiology Services, you will support the Radiologist during various diagnostic procedures, including: Interventional angiography US-guided thoracentesis/paracentesis CT-guided biopsies Your responsibilities will also include: Administering moderate sedation and medications as needed throughout procedures Participating in departmental operations, such as quality improvement initiatives and policy maintenance Providing educational resources and post-procedure counseling for patients and their families Key Competencies: You should be proficient in cardiac monitoring and IV administration, with strong communication skills to educate and support patients effectively. Essential Duties: Conduct thorough assessments of patient conditions and needs. Identify nursing diagnoses and potential issues based on gathered data. Develop individualized education plans for patients and families. Maintain accurate documentation throughout the nursing process. Collaborate with the healthcare team to create comprehensive care plans. Manage and delegate tasks to promote team development. Anticipate and respond to emergency situations with confidence. Evaluate patient responses to care and adjust plans as necessary.
