Join us to build a career you'll love! Position Overview As an Auto Glass Technician, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional service. You will be armed with comprehensive training, state-of-the-art tools, and technology to perform repairs, replacements, and recalibrations both in our shops and through our Mobile Glass Shop. Key Responsibilities Execute all vehicle glass repair and replacement services efficiently with a focus on safety, quality, and outstanding customer service. Don’t forget to clean customer vehicles after each job! Recalibrate automotive safety systems through troubleshooting and diagnostic testing. Utilize Safelite's tools, including True Seal®, Ezi-Wire, and the Glass Table System (GTS), while adhering to work order and administration processes. Safely drive company and customer vehicles throughout your workday. Engage with customers through in-person conversations, texts, and calls; effectively promote and sell company products and services. Perform other assigned duties while complying with all company policies and standards. What We Offer Competitive starting pay at $22.25/hour, increasing to $26.50/hour post-training and certification. Bonus of $5 for each set of wiper blades sold for customer safety. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Valid state-issued driver’s license; additional licenses may be required by law to operate company vehicles. Completion of Safelite SafeTech certification is necessary. Must be at least 18 years old. Skills and Abilities Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 35 pounds regularly, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Comfortable standing for long periods, working in confined spaces, and bending/twisting. Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Capable of operating a motor vehicle in accordance with all traffic laws, with performance monitored through safety technology. Passionate about providing excellent customer service and exceeding client expectations. Able to work in various weather conditions and temperatures. Comfortable handling chemicals relevant to the job, as per safety guidelines. Willing to maintain a flexible schedule to meet customer needs. Proficient in using computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations and troubleshooting. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Able to read, write, and comprehend the English language, including technical instructions. Maintains a professional appearance according to company uniform and PPE policies. Ability to perform well under pressure, managing time and productivity effectively. This position involves driving duties that are monitored for safety compliance.
